Resistance is growing!

This week we launched the Bakken Pipeline Resistance Coalition- a growing grassroots force representing 20 organizations mobilizing to block the construction of the Bakken Pipeline.

To kick off resistance efforts to come, we held a press conference at the Iowa Utilities Board, where more than 20 folks gathered to show unity against the pipeline. Eight coalition representatives spoke about different aspects of our opposition to the proposed pipeline, including Pam Alexander and Arlene Bates, two landowners in the pipeline’s path. It was a great opportunity to spread the word on how this pipeline isn’t right for Iowa and counter Energy Transfer Partner’s misinformation.

Media across the state picked up on it- check out coverage of the conference on KCCI, the Sioux City Journal, Radio Iowa, the Des Moines Register, KMALAND Radio, Channel 9, and Channel 13
